When Dare 2B Different Studio (D2BD Studio) started in 2012, we noticed that an empty space desperately needed to be filled in production services. We were in discussions with many inspiring music artists, fashion designers, and small business owners who shared similar aspirations but struggled to find an honest, and affordable media service company with the resources to help them execute their dreams. Like many companies before us that successfully started their business from a space in their basement or garage, we transformed our empty spaces into a place where we could focus on providing valuable services. Dean Roberts, a Bronx, New York native, began his journey as a DJ, evolving into a sought-after music producer. He’s recorded notable artists such as The Counsel, Troy Martin, and Bob. Dean founded Urban Spear Chuckers, which released its debut album ‘Jugarnot.’ Today, he’s the top producer and lead audio engineer at Dare 2B Different Studio, shaping the sound of commercial music.

Analog Recording is achieved by capturing sound waves into a microphone in a professionally designed acoustic space. We ensure everything is balanced perfectly without distortion or anomalies before we mix.
Mixing
Enhancing multiple sounds by manipulating volume levels, frequency, dynamic, and panoramic placement to build texture and a balanced stereo mix.
Mastering
Mastering is the final step of audio post-production. Through this process sonic elements are balanced and optimized for playback, the stereo field is also widened, and the audio is enhanced for all systems and media formats before duplication.

Having clear audio for video is important, so we incorporate audio restorations techniques, tonal balancing, frequency modifications, dynamic, and effects processing for video production.

Narrate a compelling story by using this off-camera production technique where a voice –that’s not a part of the pre-production stage is added later in post. We offer VO/ADR for radio, internet, television, and film.
