When Dare 2B Different Studio (D2BD Studio) started in 2012, we noticed that an empty space desperately needed to be filled in media production services. We were in discussions with many inspiring music artists, fashion designers, and small business owners who shared similar aspirations. However, they struggled to find an honest and affordable media service company with the resources to help them achieve their goals.
So, with a few nails, wood, drywall, and acoustic treatment, we transformed our spaces into a place where we could focus on providing valuable services. We took our years of music production knowledge and created an environment that talented individuals would appreciate.
We centered our 12x13x8 control room around our handcrafted studio desk and the Digi 003 control surface, praised for its power in making R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop music. In addition, our professional recording equipment helps us shape audio recordings, mixing, and mastering for different styles of music genres and non-musical projects. Finally, we built a 7x5x7 vocal booth to enhance sound quality, efficiency, and privacy. As a result, it’s become a quiet place where artists and narrators can think in peace and express their creativity without interruption.
We believe that nothing is more important than keeping the creativity going. We know from experience that creativity is all about the moment, the right environment, and being around experts who can assist in cultivating your ideas into something tangible. In 2014 the need for video production services grew. Dare 2B Different Studio (D2BD Studio) could not resist being a part of it. Therefore, we began editing videos for a few clients and extended our services shortly after.
Today, our boutique media service company offers video production services that fit the needs of many, from start-up companies to performing artists, storytellers, influencers, and more.

Dare 2B Different Studio (D2BD Studio) enjoys creating everything from 808 knocking hip-hop to emotional R&B style Beats. However, our creativity does not end there. We have been playing keys, beating on drum machines, and sequencing music for various genres for a long time. Occasionally, we would find ourselves in a recording session with an artist. The artist would ask if we made our own beats. And we would respond by humbly saying yes.
In August 2020, we decided to change our private Beat licensing practice to better serve the increasing request we received over time.
We created a Beats licensing website to offer customers– who demand instrumentals to support their projects. Our growing catalog provides immediate access to our latest and most unique Beats. In addition, we offer exclusive and non-exclusive licensing rights.
A Dare 2B Different Studio Beat adds value to vocals, visuals, and presentations. Therefore, our producer works hard to create innovative, artistic, high-quality instrumentals for all media types. This studio believes that music is subjective, so we color outside the lines daring our Beats to be different. Our producer has taken the music theory he’s learned in school and his experience from working on all music styles to create timeless and unforgettable Beats.
